The New Orleans Saints are looking to get back on track at home against the Minnesota Vikings after back to back embarrassing home defeats. It’s going to be a tall task, and keeping Tyler Shough clean will be the biggest key to victory.

The story for the Vikings is they’re undefeated, but the offense hasn’t put it together. They’re statistically one of the worst in the league, though injures have played a big part in that. Still, there’s been questions on if the Vikings are as good as their record.

They’ll still score defense is as advertised, however. No questions about how good they are, and that’s the biggest threat to the Saints offense. If they’re going to win this game, they’ll have to stop Minnesota’s defense from terrorizing Shough like Atlanta was able to on Monday night.

We have a lone wolf who believes the Saints can pull it off

Brandon Staley, Saints defense has a bounce back game

Yes, the Minnesota Vikings have a defense that could intimidate the best of offenses, but even so, I expect the Saints to take the W on Sunday. They also have the NFL's worst offense, and Brandon Staley's defense has a huge opportunity to put last week's embarrassment behind them.

For the first time this season, the Saints will execute across all three phases and give the Vikings their first L of the season, 24-17~ Molly Bauer

Saints drop a close one to the Vikings

Regardless of the Vikings 4-0 record and the Saints’ recent struggles, this game is winnable for New Orleans. I expect it to be competitive and come down to the fourth quarter. However, I don’t trust the Saints’ trenches, both offensively and defensively, to hold up for sixty minutes.

Because of this, I think the Saints lose a close battle 17-20. People aren’t giving the Saints’ offense enough credit, and the Vikings are relatively untested, playing a weak schedule thus far. However, I still think it leans towards Minnesota, but don’t count Tyler Shough out.~ Drew Collings

Brian Flores will prove to be too much to handle for Kellen Moore, Tyler Shough

This is a terrible matchup for the Saints. They haven’t shown the ability to keep Tyler Shough clean consistently. Part of that was about the sheer amount of passing attempts they’ve had leading to more opportunities to be under pressure.

That wasn’t the issue last week. The Saints struggled from start to finish against the Falcons, and now Brian Flores is coming to town.

The Vikings’ pressure packages will give the Saints fits and put them in a rough spot offensively. They’ll still score points but it won’t be at the clip we’re used to.

Ultimately, the impact of the Viking defense on Saints offense, field position and the turnover battle will make the biggest impact in the game. Vikings 23-17~ Darrion Gray
