The New Orleans Saints improved in a lot of areas this offseason, and their wide receiving corps has changed more drastically than any other part of the team. What used to be a major weakness is now highlighted by the trio of Chris Olave, Jordyn Tyson and Devaughn Vele.

Over the past few months, that unit has been by far the most improved in New Orleans. Even Pro Football Focus thinks so. "Despite Chris Olave starring, Saints receivers sat 15th in PFF receiving grade a year ago. That number should be considerably higher after selecting Jordyn Tyson," Bradley Locker of PFF said. "Fourth-rounder Bryce Lance brings size, explosiveness, and efficiency... Even sixth-rounder Barion Brown flashed at LSU."

From the top to the bottom, each part of the wide receiving room has gotten better. Olave now has a right-hand man again after losing his last year. Moreover, both Lance and Brown will be competing for the spot behind Vele. That makes the back of the room one of the most competitive parts on the roster. We're barely into rookie mini-camp as well, which means that the excitement will only grow. Maybe by the time the season starts, the unit will be the most improved in the league.

New Saints WRs hit the ground running at rookie mini-camp

It didn't take long for the new wide receiver additions to make noise during rookie mini-camp. In fact, it only took them one day of practice to get head coach Kellen Moore all smiley.

In his first meeting with the media during the camp, Moore already seemed eager for the next phases of the offseason. "Speed. Juice. These guys got some really good engines," The head coach said. "Good to see them out there moving around... excited to get them in with the veterans. That will be a really good group for us."

The Who Dat Nation won't be guaranteed to see Tyson, Lance, or Brown on the field with veterans until mandatory minicamp in June. However, there are two sets of voluntary OTAs earlier that month, so the sight might be seen sooner rather than later. Either way, it won't be long until we get to see a new dynamic duo or a possible battle for the WR3 and WR4 spots on the roster.

Football is back, finally.
