The New Orleans Saints named their starting quarterback on Tuesday and people have their opinions about it. While many expected the decision would be between Spencer Rattler, who ultimately won the job, and second-round rookie Tyler Shough, former Saints quarterback Drew Brees was disappointed about his former teammate, Taysom Hill, not landing the starting gig.

Brees shared multiple things on his Instagram story that depict just how bummed he was that Hill didn't ultimately win the job. The first was a video he shared from Boot Krewe Media that showed the Chiefs celebrating a win in boring fashion with the caption "any normal team celebrating after a win" and then the Saints celebrating in epic fashion. Brees' caption on the shared video was "Throwback to a better time" with a tear emoji.

The second image Brees posted to his story was a quote from Hill where he said he still believes he's a starting quarterback in the league. That quote is pasted over an image of Hill. Yeah, it's pretty obvious where Brees' loyalties lie here.

Drew Brees appears to take shot at Saints QB decision on Instagram

This is a little strange from Brees. Yeah he and Hill are close and played together in New Orleans but Hill isn't healthy enough to even be on the active roster right now and was placed on the PUP list so what is Brees actually upset about here?

Kellen Moore made the decision that he thinks is best for the team in Week 1 and that's rolling with Rattler. Maybe eventually Shough takes over or maybe Brees thinks that Hill should have a chance to win the job when he does come back but those times appear to have passed. Hill just turned 35 years old and struggles to even stay healthy. Why would the Saints commit to having him as their starting quarterback?

We'll see how long Brees leaves these posts up on his Instagram story but for now, people can see clear as day who he's pulling for to be NOLA's starting signal-caller in 2025.
