Can you blame them?

The New Orleans Saints lost their seventh straight game on Sunday, this time falling to the pitiful Carolina Panthers. The Saints melted down in this one but fans aren't surprised by that at this point.

Not only are the fans beyond frustrated with this team but the players aren't being quiet about their frustrations either. Beloved defensive tackle Cameron Jordan was the first to speak up and was dumbfounded that this squad found a way to lose to the Panthers. Jordan added "New Orleans truly had higher expectations and the best of hopes for us".

Jordan was not the only Saints player to speak up on social media though. Khalen Saunders didn't hold back either and stacked some posts on top of each other. One post from Saunders includes his acknowledgment of fans thinking this team can take the first pick in the draft. He said "hell throw me in at QB s**t let's have something fun to watch"

Saunders didn't stop there, however. He described this team as "cheek bones" and said that New Orleans deserves better than what this team is giving the city. He said that his personal goal is for the team to finish above .500, which, sorry Saunders, probably isn't happening.

Saunders said that he's "here for comedic relief thru this hard time" but is annoyed that he's yet to finish under .500 in his career and that could be in jeopardy this year. He apologized to the fan base for his part "in the failures", as he put it.

Saints players clearly frustrated after another loss

Despite being the better team in this game, the Saints still couldn't figure out a way to get the win. The 2-0 start feels like a century ago and now, more than ever, it's clear that it's time for this team to tear it all down and rebuild.

The Saints aren't going anywhere this year and probably aren't going to be a winning team for a few more years, and that's assuming they actually rebuild. Time to stop putting a band-aid on the rebuild.

If the players are speaking up this much about their frustrations, then we know things aren't going well for this team. The front office needs to listen to trade offers on all of their players and unload some of these contracts if possible. They tried to remain competitive after Sean Payton bolted and it hasn't panned out for them. Time to cut bait and move on.
