The New Orleans Saints were one of the most active teams during the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting nine total players. The team drafted one player in round one, three players on day two, and five guys on the third and final day. With those picks, the team addressed several needs, from offensive line to every level of the defense, and most notably, quarterback.
Of course, the picks already have grades, but the true evaluation of this class will come years down the road, when these players’ careers are established. Nevertheless, it’s a class in New Orleans worth getting excited about, but they won’t be the only rookies joining the team this offseason.
Following the draft, the Saints joined the race to sign quality undrafted free agents. New Orleans has had success with undrafted free agents, and the franchise is hoping that continues with the new group of guys. Here’s a look at who the Saints signed so far.
Saints’ 2025 undrafted free agent signings
Dalys Beanum, CB, South Dakota State
James Burnip, P, Alabama
Jasheen Davis, DL, Wake Forest
Elliott Davison, S, UTSA
Moochie Dixon, WR, SMU
Easton Kilty, OT, Kansas State
Tyreem Powell, LB, Rutgers
Torricelli Simpkins III, G, South Carolina
Omari Thomas, DT, Tennessee
Chris Tyree, WR, Virginia
Marcus Yarns, RB, Delaware
New Orleans addressed all three phases of the game, even signing Alabama punter James Burnip who is 6-foot-6. Offensively, the team added two more pass catchers, two more linemen, and another running back. All three address depth needs for New Orleans. The same can be said for the defensive additions, with the Saints bringing in two defensive linemen, two defensive backs, and a linebacker.
Of course, all of these guys would love to make the team and be contributors at their primary positions, but they’ll also have to strive on special teams to secure a roster spot. For undrafted players, that’s often the key to carving out a role with the team.
