New Orleans Saints legend Deuce McAllister was stopped on the golf course and asked what his Mount Rushmore of Saints running backs. After a bit of pondering, McAllister rattled off Alvin Kamara, Chuck Muncie, Dalton Hillliard and Mark Ingram.
They say it's best to let others speak to your greatness. It must've been this level of humility that led McAllister to leave himself off of a list he clearly belongs on.

Deuce McAllister is a certified member on Saints RB Mount Rushmore
McAllister's humility doesn't take away from the fact he's a certified member of the Saints Mount Rushmore's of running backs. Him, Ingram and Kamara are the three certified members of the club.
One thing that is different in McAllister's career than Kamara and Ingram's careers is McAlister didn't get to 100 games played. Both Ingram and Kamara have played more than 120 games in their Saints careers. McAllister played 97 games.
If Injuries didn't take years off his career, McAlister likely would have put up numbers Kamara would still be chasing to this day. In nearly 30 more games, Ingram is still just 404 yards and 5 touchdowns ahead of McAllister. Kamara's lead is a little bigger, but McAllister still wins the per game battle on yards, with nearly identical rushing touchdown percentages.
As a pure runner, McAllister was too good and too productive to leave off a Mount Rushmore. He's third all time in Saints rushing yards and touchdowns. Ingram had the record for most yards and rushing touchdowns then Kamara grabbed those crowns from him. Before Ingram held the records, it was McAllister leading the way.
What McAllister was able to do in a shorter span is the reason the last spot on the Mount Rushmore should likely go to George Rogers. He wasn't one of the four players McAllister named, but Rogers was electric. He only played four seasons the Saints, and just 31 games in that span, but he still ranks fourth all time.
Rogers kicked down the door as a rookie with a league-leading 1674 rushing yards. It earned him a first team All-Pro, and he's still the only Saints running back with that honor. His 1674 yards are still the most in a single season in Saints history. The fourth head is up for grabs, but the top three are stamped. McAlister, Kamara, Ingram.
