Saints inactives list for Week 7 game against Broncos
The New Orleans Saints are back in primetime for their Week 7 matchup against the Denver Broncos. This game will start Week 7 for the NFL as the Thursday Night Football matchup of the week.
With the Saints entering at 2-4, and Denver coming in at 3-3, it’s not necessarily a big game in terms of two elite teams facing off. However, the storyline of Sean Payton returning to New Orleans for the first time makes this game intriguing for a National audience.
Additionally, it will be interesting to see how the rookie quarterbacks Spencer Rattler and Bo Nix perform, and how New Orleans performs with its back against the wall after losing four straight. Unfortunately, the Saints will be without quite a few of their big-time players for this big game.

Key absences and their impact
The biggest story is New Orleans’ top receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed missing the game. Olave is in concussion protocol, and Shaheed underwent a meniscus surgery on Thursday that will sideline him for the rest of the year. With Derek Carr out as well, rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler will be without the team’s best pass catchers.
At the receiver position, Rattler will have to rely on fellow rookies Mason Tipton and Bub Means, as well as veterans Cedrick Wilson Jr. and Equanimeous St. Brown, who was activated for the game. Looking at that group, it’s clear why Saints fans are concerned entering the game, but these receivers will have the chance to make a name for themselves.
Additionally, Rattler will still have the tight ends and Alvin Kamara to lean on. Unfortunately, it’s looking like he won’t have Taysom Hill, who is listed as doubtful for the game, and the rookie QB will also be without lineman Cesar Ruiz, who is missing his fourth straight game.
