The New Orleans Saints went into the NFL Draft with three major holes: wide receiver, edge rusher and slot cornerback. Through three rounds, they've only addressed the wide receiver position. After making a splash with Jordyn Tyson, the Saints added a pair of Georgia players.

The selections of Christen Miller and Oscar Delp created excitement, but they don't check the anticipated positional boxes. You'd have to figure the Saints snag at least a defensive back or edge rusher in the final day of the draft.

This mock is meant to be predictive and an example of what the Saints might do. Although it’s possible, and maybe likely, that the Saints make a trade, I refrained from that in this instance. Having said that, here’s a day three mock draft for the Saints.

The Saints have shown interest in Jeremiah Wright

4:132- Jeremiah Wright, G, Auburn

Jeremiah Wright has visited with the Saints three times this draft cycle. The right guard is a mauler in the run game who uses his superb strength to move defenders. Additionally, he has the athleticism to become an amazing pass blocker if he can refine his punch accuracy and footwork. Wright may not be a day-one starter, but he could compete with Cesar Ruiz for the long-term spot.

4:136- Jalon Kilgore, CB, South Carolina

Jalon Kilogre’s versatility makes him an enticing option late in round four. He primarily played in the slot, but has ample experience as a box safety. Kilogre would thrive in the STAR role in Brandon Staley’s defense. He’s an underrated prospect who would be a perfect fit on the Saints.

5:150- Emmett Johnson, RB, Nebraska

Emmett Johnson’s one of the most elusive players in college football who frequently makes the first defender miss. He would be another explosive weapon for Tyler Shough to operate with.

5:172- Aidan Fisher, LB, Indiana

Aidan Fisher isn’t an amazing athlete, but compensates with his elite processing, high IQ, and consistency.

6:190- Lewis Bond, WR, Boston College

Lewis Bond is a quick slot receiver who uses his elite IQ to find soft spots in zone and twitchiness to beat man coverage. He’s not a burner, but is an excellent value pick this late.
