Saints fans won't like what Kay Adams just encouraged the Chiefs to do

Don't give them any ideas, Kay!

The 2026 NFL Draft has come and gone and the New Orleans Saints still haven't agreed to a new deal with long-time defensive end Cam Jordan. It's been a disappointing development, seeing the two trend further away from a reunion but such is life in the NFL.

Kay Adams isn't helping the situation. The host of Up & Adams recently went on the record saying that she believes the Kansas City Chiefs should sign Jordan as soon as possible.

"I want to make my case here that he does in fact need to be a Kansas City Chief. Big year last year... I don't know what we're doing. 10.5 sacks last year," Adams said. "I know [the Chiefs] drafted R Mason Thomas in the second round, but you can't have too many of these, especially if you want to get back to greatness and win the Super Bowl."

While it would sting to see Jordan in any uniform that isn't a Saints one, the front office did this to themselves. If they really wanted him back, they'd have offered him a fair deal by now and clearly, that hasn't happened.

The good news is that if Jordan were to sign with Kansas City, he'd be going to an AFC team that's not on the Saints' schedule in 2026. He'd also be joining a team that has won three Super Bowls since 2020 and should be right back in contention to win another one this season despite a down year in 2025.

The only thing better than Jordan returning to New Orleans to finish out his career and only don the black and gold is for him to win a ring. He'd have an opportunity to do that with the Chiefs.

Hopefully, the Saints can still get something worked out with Jordan but if not, it feels like him landing in Kansas City could be a likely scenario. Kay Adams might be the one talking about it right now but if it happens, it wouldn't be a surprise. The Chiefs have a need for a player like Jordan and he'd have a chance to be on a competitive team. It sure sounds like an appealing situation for the long-time Saint.
