The College Football Playoffs are underway with a triple header on Saturday after the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night. Miami starts off the day against Texas A&M, followed by Tulane traveling to Ole Miss, and finishing off in Eugene, OR as Oregon hosts James Madison.
Each team has prospects who will make the transition to the NFL next year. New Orleans Saints fans should pay close attention to these four prospects below as players that could be on their draft board.
One important note is that Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq isn’t listed. Instead, a full prospect profile will be available for him in the near future.
KC Concepcion can finally give the Saints their RAC guy
KC Concepcion
Wide receiver KC Concepcion transferred to Texas A&M from NC State this offseason and has become a vital player in the Aggies offense. He has 886 yards and nine touchdowns this year. He thrives after the catch but is still an amazing route runner and reels in contested catches. Watch out for Concepcion against Miami, he has a knack for making timely plays.
Rueben Bain Jr.
Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain has been dominant this year. Scouts question his arm length, being an outlier for the position with under 31”, but his impact on the field is undeniable. Bain has outstanding speed, power, and technique rushing the passer. It’s rare to find a play that he doesn’t effect. Bain has the potential to be a game wrecker for the Hurricanes.
Shadre Hurst
Tulane guard Shadre Hurst won’t be talked about much, but he’s the foundation of the offense, keeping Jake Retzlaff clean. Hurst hasn’t allowed a sack and has only given up six pressures in 2025. He’s got amazing mobility and is technically sound. His play won’t jump off the screen, but Hurst will make a major impact for the Green Wave.
Jacob Thomas
Jacob Thomas is one of the leaders for James Madison’s defense, being named a team captain. He plays everywhere on the defense, taking snaps as a free safety, in the box, in the slot, on the defensive line, and a few as a corner. He has two interceptions and five pass breakups in 2025. Thomas playing well is crucial for JMU to upset Oregon.
