The New Orleans Saints are out of playing with more money than their used to this offseason. Typically, the Saints offseason is highlighted by the Saints moving a bunch of money around just to be compliant. This offseason, eyes are glued to the Saints and their ability to make a big splash. Buffalo Bills guard David Edwards tends to be a popular name by Saints fans

Edwards is projected to be the highest paid guard this offseason, and fans are ready to spend potentially $20 million on the interior offensive lineman. The Saints have been rolling with a revolving door at the position, and Edwards would finally give them stability there.

Edwards isn't the only option. Another fan favorite is Travis Etienne. It's no coincidence that the two options most fans are clamoring for both bolster the running attack.

David Edwards won't be a sexy signing but it'd be the Saints' best move

David Edwards would be money well spent

It might be boring, but the big signing the Saints need to make is Buffalo Bills guard David Edwards. It’s imperative that the Saints fix up the interior offensive line in order to bolster the run game and protect Tyler Shough. Spotrac estimates Edwards receiving an average of $19.9 million per year, which is expensive, but well worth it for the Saints.~ Drew Collings

David Edwards brings Super Bowl experience to the Saints

Guard David Edwards, formerly of the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills, should be one of the top targets for the New Orleans Saints this offseason. Last year, he was one of the best guards in the NFL, while the Saints had guys ranking near the bottom of the league. A young offensive lineman and already a Super Bowl champion, there’s no doubt that the experience and talent Edwards would bring would be worthwhile.~ Molly Bauer

Travis Etienne is the spark the Saints are looking for

The Saints should strongly consider signing Travis Etienne this offseason. He brings home run speed, versatility, as a pass catcher, and the ability to turn minimal blocking into positive gains. Pairing him with the current offensive weapons would add balance and take pressure off the quarterback. He could give this New Orleans offense a much needed spark.~ Tramell Jeffers

Travis Etienne can take the torch from Alvin Kamara

It certainly feels like Alvin Kamara has limited time left in the league, and the Saints should start planning for his departure. Grabbing Etienne allows them to do that for 2027 while still having a strong duo in 2026. You aren't paying for a complementary piece. If the Saints are pursuing Etienne, he would be the new lead back in the rotation. In some ways, it can open Kamara up to be more versatile as well.~ Darrion Gray
