This is Justin Reid's first year with the New Orleans Saints, but he is more than familiar with their rivalry with the Atlanta Falcons. He's so familiar that he effortlessly called them the Failcons during this week's media availability. Reid said it like someone who has been saying that his whole life. Probably because he has.

Reid is a Louisiana native, so taking shots at the Failcons is second nature. He didn't even skip a beat when he told reporters, "I played each team, but never got to play as one of the teams. Get to play as a Saints player against the Failcons, it'll be exciting,"

When asked about his favorite moment of the rivalry, Reid didn't go to Shy Tuttle's highlight reel stiff arm or any of Cam Jordan's 23 sacks of Matt Ryan. Reid jumped straight to the biggest stain in Falcons' history. "I just remember how much fun we had watching Atlanta losing New England in that Super Bowl, blowing their lead. I remember that. That's probably the best memory."

Saints vs. Falcons is the perfect time for Justin Reid finally have his standout moment

Justin Reid is looking to make a statement in his first Saints vs. Falcons game. He was the Saints' splash signing in free agency, but he hasn't done a lot to standout this season. On one hand, a safety not standing out means he's not making massive mistakes. However, it also means he's not making plays that stand out.

Kirk Cousins will start for the Falcons at quarterback this week. He's a veteran, but maybe shaking off the rust of sitting most of the season is more difficult at his age. Last time he had to come off the bench, Cousins left much to be desired. He didn't give the ball away, but he also didn't put it in the end zone.

Maybe this is an opportunity for Reid to make a splash play fans have been waiting for. This game surely means a lot to him, so this would be a great time to deliver a big time play.
