It's been three weeks, and the New Orleans Saints and Cam Jordan haven't come to an agreement on a contract. It doesn't even seem to be close, at the moment. While the Kansas City Chiefs have been the most popular alternate destination, don't sleep on the Chicago Bears.

The future Saints Ring of Honor member hasn't been quiet about the situation, going on Terron Armstead's podcast earlier this week to discuss what free agency has been like for him. There, he said that there were "three possible teams," meaning that a departure from New Orleans might actually be on the table for him.

Although it's clear that no matter what happens, New Orleans will hold a special place in his heart. "I'd love to be back in New Orleans..." He said to Terron Armstead. "Just because I love the city and the organization doesn't mean the city and the organization have to love me back. The city definitely has and always will.  I'm just saying, my love doesn't mean it's unrequited."

A reunion with Dennis Allen is listed as a logical move for Cam Jordan

Jordan is a potential future Hall of Famer. Even at his age, there should be teams inquiring about his services. The Bears are a team that hasn't been mentioned much in connection to Jordan. CBS Sports' Shanna McCarriston and Carter Bahns, however, listed Chicago as a logical landing spot for the defender. They're a team that's honestly should have been mentioned earlier.

It's a move that would make sense, as their defense is run by Dennis Allen. Jordan spent nearly a decade under Allen's defense, accumulating over 80 sacks in his time with the coach. Among the best in the NFL during that span, the current free agent should find no problem returning to that scheme. Jordan also wouldn't have to deal with any sort of learning curve either, which is another possible bonus that Chicago can provide.

With over a fortnight gone and no news yet, it's led many to speculate what could be in store for Cam Jordan in 2026. A return to New Orleans is always an option for him, but the lack of news has led to speculation. With the speculation comes doubt that Jordan will play for the Saints next season. From what it sounds like, the Who Dat Nation might have to prepare for the worst.
