Well, it looks like coming home to the Superdome still has its perks. For the first time all season, the New Orleans Saints are favorites to win a game when they face the New York Giants.

Despite being 0-4 on the season, the Saints are favored against the Giants, who are coming off their first win in the Jaxson Dart era. "Jaxson's a really good player; he had a phenomenal career at Ole Miss," Saints head coach Kellen Moore said to the media. "He's a great kid; he's going to be a really good quarterback in this league."

However it's not as clear-cut as some might think. It's really a toss up between the two teams, as the black and gold are only favored by two points over the blue and red heading into Sunday, the second smallest margin of the weekend. Only the Dolphins over the panthers (-1.5) and the Texans over the Ravens (-1.5) are more of a toss up.

When they come home, the Saints will be playing one of the worst defenses in the NFL

There's bound to be some people who are surprised at the New Orleans Saints being favorites. What do you mean that a winless team is favored over a team that's coming off of their most meaningful win in years? One reason could be that the defense of the Giants is one of the worst in the National Football League so far this year.

So far in 2025, the New York Giants have given up 1,554 total yards (388.5 yards a game), the fourth worst in the league. Only the Cincinnati Bengals (1,591), Baltimore Ravens (1,627), and Dallas Cowboys (1,682) have given up more this season. In particular, it's their run defense that is holding them back, allowing 612 rushing yards through the first quarter of the season.

That should be music to the ears of Saints fans. Coming off of their best performance yet in the loss to Buffalo, it was the Bills' rushing defense that allowed them to stay so close. If they can ride the wave of momentum and combine it with the energy in the Superdome, their first win could be less than a week away.
