The New Orleans Saints finished the 2025 season 6-11, leaving a ton of room to improve. For Kellen Moore and Co., the interior of the offensive line should be one of their top priorities.
This season, the Saints' offensive line was bottom of the barrel, ranking 25th in Pro Football Focus's final rankings. However, it's not necessarily the fault of their tackles, who actually played pretty well, but more so the guards. Dillon Radunz started at left guard for most of the year and ranked 75 out of 81 eligible players on PFF. Cesar Ruiz ranked 57th out of the same pool.
It's frustrating, to say the least, for Saints fans to see that kind of production. In four of the last seven drafts, an offensive lineman was selected in the first round, and still the offensive line isn't up to par. To fix it, though, there are more ways than just the NFL draft (much to the relief of some Saints fans). Free agency is also a worthwhile option.
Can Evan Neal turn his luck around with the Saints?
The offensive line of the New Orleans Saints, or more specifically its interior, was bottom of the barrel in 2025. That means that they shouldn't target a guard in just free agency or the draft, but both. Luckily for the Saints, there are plenty of options to choose from this offseason.
In free agency, some of the hottest commodities available include Wyatt Teller, Isaac Seumalo, and Evan Neal. The latter, Neal, is one that the Saints might look at purely because of his age and price tag. A former first-round pick of the Giants, Neal is a player who has yet to find much success in the NFL. He made a move to guard this offseason, but didn't play at all this season. New Orleans could be a perfect spot for his fresh start and provide the Saints with an inexpensive option.
There are also plenty of college prospects for the Saints to look at. Olaivavega Ioane, Emmanuel Pregon, and Brian Parker II are just a few of the top guards available. Parker II will also play in the East-West Shrine Bowl on the same team as Saints coach Terry Joseph, giving the Saints an inside look. However, that's not to say that the Saints will draft one of these players with their first-round pick. Instead, these players will likely be day two selections, at the earliest.
It'll be interesting to see how the Saints handle the offensive line this season, whether it's via the draft or free agency.
