The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a restructured deal with veteran running back Alvin Kamara to retain him for 2026. Many of the Saints’ premier rushing attacks have been anchored by a pair of running backs. Because of this, it eliminates tendencies from an offense and always threatens the defense.
The Saints’ offense has missed this in recent seasons. Their backfield has been stagnant when Kamara’s been injured/on the bench, which hindered them. Now, this won’t be a problem. It allows them to consistently have a dynamic option who can burn a defense as a rusher and receiver.

Their new tandem of Kamara and Travis Etienne Jr. will be among the most explosive in the NFL and help their offense consistently threaten opposing defenses.
