If you want to see Carnell Tate on the New Orleans Saints, just know you're not alone. Tate also wants to see himself on the Saints, specifically to play with Tyler Shough.

It's not every year that you hear a potential top-10 draft pick flat out tell you where he wants to go, but that's exactly what Tate did. Tate joined Caleb and Josh Downs' podcast and revealed two teams he'd like to play for. He named the Saints and Bills. For both teams, it comes down to the quarterback.

Tate pointed out Josh Allen's experience and ability and followed it up by saying, "Tyler's been balling." It's slight but Allen and Shough's names keep getting put around each other. There's certainly worst names to be associated with for the Saints rookie. It's also telling how players and incoming players are viewing Shough. Of the two, playing with Shough feels like the more likely scenario for Tate.

Saints drafting Carnell Tate is far from far fetched

The Saints need a wide receiver, hold the eighth overall pick and Tate could hear his name called in the first 10 selections of this year's draft. The combination of these three factors make the Saints picking the Ohio State receiver an absolute possibility.

Speaking of Ohio State, Tate would play opposite fellow Buckeye Chris Olave in New Orleans. Their time in college didn't overlap, but Olave does often go back to Columbus. It wouldn't be surprising if the two have some sort of relationship.

On the field, Josh Downs would be a fan of Tate in New Orleans. Wouldn't mind to hear his thoughts on his brother's fit in a Saints uniform, but that's for another time. Downs believes Tate and Olave would complement each other well.

What's interesting about Tate listing the Saints is it goes against the criteria he gave immediately before. Tate wants a surplus of touches like Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba receive. They finished the season fourth and fifth in the league in targets.

Right behind them was Chris Olave. Tate could be an effective player with Olave, but getting some of the most targets is unlikely. It's equally unlikely that that's lost on Tate. Maybe it's just another indication of how he views Tyler Shough.
