3 possible landing spots for ex-Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas

The Chargers could be a landing spot for Michael Thomas
The departures of both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams have suddenly left the Chargers' wide receiver situation looking dire. The expectation is that 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston will blossom into being the guy, but having Thomas as a veteran safety valve behind him wouldn't hurt. With former third-round pick Joshua Palmer and the speedy Derius Davis being the only other wideouts on the roster, Thomas could immediately battle it out for the second starting wideout role.
New head coach John Harbaugh sent a clear message of revamping the receiving corps when he let Allen and Williams get out of the building, and it seems he wants to craft his own room of pass-catchers. With just shy of $40 million in cap space, state-of-the-art facilities, and a prime location in sunny Southern California, it wouldn't be the hardest sell to get Thomas in powder blue — and having the rocket-armed Justin Herbert as the signal caller certainly doesn't hurt. Plus, the dearth of receiving talent guarantees that Thomas would see the field for the Chargers on day one.
