3 possible landing spots for ex-Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas

The Broncos could be a landing spot for Michael Thomas
ESPN's Bill Barnwell put an interesting possibility into the ether: Thomas could reunite with former Saints head coach Sean Payton as a member of the Denver Broncos. With guys like Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr. on the roster, Thomas wouldn't be expected to be the WR1 in Mile High either. Payton knows how to use him when he's healthy; all four of his best seasons came under the longtime New Orleans head man.
The Broncos are poised to take a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, and that young gun will need as many reliable options as he can get. Both Thomas and the similarly oft-injured Tim Patrick can duke it out to be third on the depth chart, with the fourth being a reliable backup should the man ahead of him go down. Despite the $53 million in dead money on the Broncos' ledger, they still have just short of $21 million to play with and could outbid the Dolphins for Thomas' services with an extended deal to keep him around for the rookie signal-caller development arc.
