Stud: Zack Baun - Linebacker

With the Titans up 6-3 in the second quarter, the Saints needed a spark and Zack Baun provided one. After forcing a punt at their own 27, Baun broke through the line and got his hands on Ryan Stonehouse’s punt. The ball bounced out of bounds at the 28 yard line, which is where New Orleans started their drive.

They nearly took the lead, with Derek Carr trying to hit Rashid Shaheed in the end zone but he was just out of bounds. Carr then had another pass hit the turf and the Titans tried challenging that one, saying it was a fumble. In the end, the play was upheld and Blake Grupe hit his second field goal to tie it up 6-6.

Dud: Trevor Penning - Tackle

Trevor Penning had a rough outing on Sunday. He struggled with the speed rush from Arden Key and nearly allowed a huge turnover. With Carr throwing it on third-and-seven — right after Baun blocked a punt — Key was able to hit Carr’s arm. The ball flew forward but was challenged and could have been called a fumble.

New Orleans responded with Marshon Lattimore picking off a Ryan Tannehill pass but again, Penning struggled to hold off the pass rush. Key recorded a sack for a seven-yard loss and then Carr was sacked on third-and-15 by Jeffrey Simmons, right after barely avoiding Key.

Carr struggled to convert on third-downs and much of that was due to the lack of comfort he felt in the pocket.
