The New Orleans Saints are an underwhelming 2-4 after six games and they need more from their key players. Unfortunately, they haven't gotten that production from those guys.

Whether it's been poor performance or injuries, something has been off with these players early in the year.

Let's take a look at the most disappointing players so far through six games.

Paulson Adebo

Adebo falls into the poor performance category and it's really unfortunate after the impressive performance he put on during his rookie year. The third-year product out of Stanford finished the 2021 regular season with a PFF grade of 60.3. To put into perspective how bad he's been this year, his PFF grade is 34.1, which is brutal.

Adebo has allowed 22 receptions this year, tying him for the 15th-most so far. He's clearly not the same player he was a year ago and that's concerning considering how good he was during his rookie campaign.

Michael Thomas

Thomas is an example of a player who has been disappointing because he can't stay healthy. It was huge when the Saints got him back this season after he missed all of the 2021 campaign due to injury but Thomas hasn't lived up to the hype.

The former second-round pick has appeared in three games and has 16 receptions for 171 yards and three touchdowns. When he's on the field, he's a game-changer, that much is true. He's disappointing because he hasn't been able to get onto the field.
