The New Orleans Saints are in the mix for a playoff spot – and the NFC South crown – heading into their Thursday Night Football matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams currently hold the No. 7 spot in the NFC, so a win for the Saints would go a long way for the team securing a wild card spot.

One way to bet on this game – and arguably my favorite – is in the prop market. New Orleans is expected to get Chris Olave back in the lineup this week, and he’s a great target against a Rams defense that has struggled to force turnovers this season.

Let’s break down my favorite prop bets – and a promo to get you started betting on this primetime game!

Best NFL prop bets for Saints vs. Rams in Week 16

  • Chris Olave OVER 54.5 receiving yards
  • Kyren Williams anytime touchdown scorer
  • Derek Carr to NOT throw an interception

Chris Olave OVER 54.5 receiving yards

Chris Olave is expected to return to the lineup after missing last week’s game against the New York Giants with an ankle injury.

That’s great news for prop bettors, as Olave is averaging 70.6 yards per game this season – yet his prop is set at 54.5.

The Rams are allowing just 6.0 net yards per pass attempt, but Olave has cleared this number in eight games this season. He’s also seen at least eight targets in seven of his last eight matchups.

The second-year receiver should have a big role for the Saints in Week 16.

Kyren Williams anytime touchdown scorer

Saints fans may not like to hear this, but this is a dream matchup for Rams running back Kyren Williams, who has transformed this offense since coming back from injured reserve.

If we’re looking to win some prop bets, Williams is the one Ram I would take in this matchup.

The young running back has found the end zone in three of his four games since returning, scoring four times in total over that stretch, and he has 11 scores in just 10 games this season.

Now, Williams is facing a vulnerable Saints run defense that is allowing 4.5 yards per carry this season, the seventh most in the NFL.

He’s a great bet to his paydirt this week.

Derek Carr to NOT throw an interception

Derek Carr has been much better at taking care of the football this season (seven interceptions in 14 games), and he has a favorable matchup in Week 16.

The Rams have eight interceptions on the season as a team, the seventh fewest in the NFL.

While Carr did throw a pick in three straight weeks earlier this season, he played one of his best games against the Giants, throwing three scores while completing 23 of his 28 pass attempts.

This is essentially a pick’em in this prop, but I don’t trust the Rams defense to come up with a pick against an improved Carr.
