The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers split the series last year with the Panthers taking the first game in Charlotte and the Saints taking the second game in New Orleans. I still say that last year's Week 2 outing in Charlotte should have had an asterisk next to it considering the Saints had a lot of players and coaches on the COVID-19 list but whatever, it's in the past.

With this matchup, a lot is on the line. The Panthers are searching for their first win after failing to get the job done against the Browns and Giants while the Saints are hoping to get above .500.

Demario Davis should be a big name in this one even though he's been "overshadowed" by Pete Werner through two games. This isn't to say that Davis hasn't been tremendous but Werner has certainly been the talk of the town at the linebacker position. Davis is our best bet for Week 3.

Tackles/Assists for Demario Davis Over 6.5 (+115)

I'd jump at this prop bet from WynnBET even if Davis hasn't been the tackling machine he typically is through two games. He had five tackles in Week 1 and while he only recorded one last week, he'll also be helped out in this stat because assists count as well. Davis had one assist in Week 1 and four assists in Week 2 so that should help push him closer to the 6+ required for the prop bet.

Davis isn't off to the hot start that he normally is but he's still playing at a high level. Betting $100 on him to record over six tackles would usually be a pretty risk-free bet but it's a little riskier this time around with him only recording six tackles through two games. If Davis does record over six tackles (assists included), betters could earn an extra $115.
