The New Orleans Saints have secured their first winning streak of the season with wins over the Falcons and Browns in back-to-back weeks. With six wins on the season, they still have a slim chance of winning the division but they have to hope to win out while the Bucs lose a game.

Winning in Week 17 is going to be tricky because it's the Eagles who are next on New Orleans' schedule. The Saints are heading to Philadelphia to play the current No. 1 seeded Eagles, who are coming off only their second loss of 2022.

The Eagles were forced to start Gardner Minshew in Week 16 due to a shoulder injury to Jalen Hurts and even if Minshew plays this week, Philly will still be big favorites. They have a talented roster and Minshew is one of the best backups in the league.

Saints vs Eagles Odds Week 17

The Eagles are 7.0-point favorites against the Saints this week. The moneylines are -335 for Philadelphia and +270 for New Orleans and the over/under is sitting at 43.5.

Saints vs Eagles Prediction Week 17

I'm not sure why I'd pick the Saints to win this game. Yes, the Eagles have a backup quarterback that might be starting for them but Philadelphia is the better all-around team. Plus, we saw Minshew go toe-to-toe with the Cowboys on Christmas Eve, proving that he has what it takes to put up points.

While I'd love to agree with Pete Werner that this team is going 4-0 out of the BYE, I can't. I'm going with a 37-24 Eagles victory with the Saints scoring garbage time points late to make the score look more respectable.
