Saints vs Cardinals Prediction and Odds for Week 7

The New Orleans Saints don't have long to be upset about their 30-26 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, as they have to hit the road for a Thursday night tilt with the Arizona Cardinals, another team who is coming off a loss.

The Saints dropped to 2-4 on the year with their loss to Cincinnati and if they lose this game, their season is absolutely sunk. A 2-5 hole would be nearly impossible to climb out of. The Cardinals are 3-3 and somehow tied atop the NFC West with the other three teams in their division so this game is huge for them as well.

FanDuel has New Orleans as a 1.5-point underdog with a money line of +102. Arizona's money line sits at -120 and the over/under for points is set at 44.5. NOLA's defense has struggled recently, so betting the over might be smart in this one.

With the Cardinals being the home team, they get three points automatically so if this game were being played in New Orleans, the Saints would actually be favored by 2.5 points.

This is the matchup of two disappointing teams and this is an absolute must-win game for New Orleans. It's funny saying that this is a must-win game when the Seahawks game two weeks ago also was considered to be a must-win matchup.

If the Saints drop this one, they'll be 2-5 and that's not ideal. They NEED to win this one but Thursday night games favor the home team so NOLA already has that working against them. While I predict this game will be close, I don't foresee the Saints going into Arizona and coming away victorious.

I'll go with a 27-24 Cardinals victory. Hopefully I'm wrong.
