Saints vs 49ers: Breaking down the Week 12 announcers
Week 12 pits the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers against each other in what could be an interesting game. The Saints, fresh off their win over the hapless Rams, hope to keep their season alive with a win this weekend while the Niners look to stay ahead of the Seahawks in the NFC West race.
This season hasn't gone according to plan for New Orleans. Jameis Winston hasn't played since Week 3, forcing Andy Dalton into action in what's been a very up and down experiment. Dalton, for what it's worth, is coming off his best performance as a Saint in the win over the Rams.
As for the Niners, they've been very up and down this year too, but find themselves leading the NFC West. They traded for Christian McCaffrey ahead of the deadline and the Saints are all too familiar with CMC and what it takes to stop him. It isn't easy, that's for sure.
With an interesting NFC matchup on the horizon, who gets to call this one?
Saints vs 49ers announcers for Week 12
It'll be Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez, and Laura Okmin in the booth and on the sidelines for this matchup, per Audacy.
Kugler is known for calling NFL, college football, and college basketball games.
Sanchez played in the NFL for 10 seasons and is mostly remembered for his years with the Jets (and, unfortunate as it is, for the butt fumble). He got into broadcasting after retiring from the NFL in 2019.
Okmin is one of the longest-tenured sideline reporters and is one of the best in the biz at what she does.
