The New Orleans Saints had a lot of doubters entering the season, but they’ve quickly proven everyone wrong. Now they’re pulling out receipts.

This offseason, all the New Orleans Saints heard was how they were going to be terrible and how they might as well start a rebuild. Despite the fact New Orleans finished last season 9-8, a game away from the playoffs, people were predicting the team would be at the bottom of the league.

The Saints tried to silence that talk in Week 1, defeating the Carolina Panthers 47-10, but critics weren’t all that impressed. While acknowledging it was a good outing for New Orleans, the prevailing narrative was that it came against an awful Panthers team.

Still doubting the Saints, no one gave them a chance in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. That’s where the critics messed up, because New Orleans dominated Dallas, winning 44-19. The dominance didn’t stop on the field, though. Following the game, the Saints’ official social media account started calling out the people who doubted them.

Saints call out analysts who doubted them

New Orleans dropped a screenshot that showed 14 different analysts between ESPN and NFL Network, picking the Cowboys to win the game. The screenshot was edited with the perfect video of Alvin Kamara just laughing.

Speaking of Kamara, he took over the game, finishing with 20 carries for 115 yards and three touchdowns, as well as two receptions for 65 yards and another touchdown. Like the Saints, Kamara was counted out this offseason, with experts arguing he was over the hill.

A fantasy football expert even advised fantasy players to avoid drafting the veteran running back. After a performance from Kamara that surely won a lot of mangers their matchup, the Saints made sure to point out how poorly that take aged.

New Orleans also had a few other clapbacks for fans who were convinced they’d lose to the Cowboys, and the social media team is looking just as elite as the football team on the field. Hopefully, the players will keep dominating, so admin can keep calling folks out.
