Saints Injury Report: 4 players OUT for Week 5 including Michael Thomas
The New Orleans Saints' injury woes continue, as they'll officially be without four players for their Week 5 tilt with the Seahawks, one of which includes Michael Thomas, missing his second straight game.
The other three players out in this one are Payton Turner, Calvin Throckmorton, and P.J. Williams while Jameis Winston is doubtful. Key players such as Jarvis Landry, Alvin Kamara, Marcus Maye, and Andrus Peat.
With Winston listed as doubtful, Andy Dalton is probably in line to start again this week. The offense looked better under him last week plus it sounds as though Kamara is expected to suit up for this one, so that should help.
Saints Injury Report for Week 5
With Thomas being out, this opens up opportunities for Chris Olave to shine bright once again. Hopefully, the team can get Landry more involved too if he does end up taking the field for this one.
Throckmorton is out with an ankle injury and that means the Saints will be hoping that Peat is good to go so the team isn't down to their third-string left guard, which is likely Wyatt Davis.
Williams is a surprise for this game too but he's dealing with a quad injury. This could mean that Daniel Sorensen is in a bigger role for Sunday's game and nobody wants to see that man in coverage.
All of these injuries are not good for a team in desperate need of a win this week. The Seahawks offense has been on fire and now with Sorensen potentially seeing playing time out there, things might not go well in the secondary.
Let's hope the Saints can find a way to grind out a win this weekend.
