It felt like 2021 all over again for the New Orleans Saints when all three of their starting receivers were unable to play in Week 6. Chris Olave, the promising rookie out of Ohio State, was one of those injured receivers, as he had suffered a concussion the following week against the Seahawks.

Despite this upcoming week being a short week, Olave is good to go for the Saints' Thursday night game in Arizona.

Saints will get Chris Olave back for Thursday Night Football

Olave returning is huge for the offense, as Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry likely won't be playing. That means that two of the Saints' three starting receivers will miss this ball game and Olave is desperately needed.

The last time we saw Olave in action, he notched four catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. On the year, he has 25 receptions for 389 yards and two touchdowns. To say that he's been a much-needed addition to this New Orleans offense would be an understatement. He's been a huge piece of the offense six weeks into the season.

This game against the Cardinals is a must-win game for the Saints. It's a lot easier to turn things around at 3-4 than it would be to do so at 2-5. Three games under .500 is not a good place to be at any point of the season but especially not early in the year.

This point from Chris Rosvoglou is an important one. The Saints have been able to get their run game going over the past few weeks and doing so last wee against the Bengals even when Cincinnati should have known the Saints were running the ball was impressive. With Olave back in the mix, the Saints will have a target in the receiving game that opponents will have to game plan for. It adds another element for this NOLA offense.

Hopefully Chris Olave is able to stay healthy in this one and make a major impact.
