The New Orleans Saints were already down two of their starting receivers entering last weekend's tilt against the Seahawks. Chris Olave was then injured in the second half, leaving the team with zero of their original starters at the position.

Sadly, Olave had to exit that game after getting concussed, leaving New Orleans with the likes of Marquez Callaway and Tre'Quan Smith. It reminded all of us of last season when they didn't have an actual starter on their roster.

Fortunately, Olave appears to be trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Chris Olave injury update

Per Nick Underhill, Olave participated in football activities during Thursday's practice. As Underhill noted, if Olave is symptom-free, he can have a full practice and that could allow him to play on Sunday.

Obviously, the Saints shouldn't rush him back and it's hard to see them doing so considering what happened to Tua Tagovailoa two weeks ago. No one wants to see a situation like that happen again.

Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry didn't practice on Thursday either, which means the team might be without their three starting receivers once again. It'd be important to have Olave out there but obviously it's not worth risking something far more dangerous.
