Saints could desperately use Odell Beckham Jr. after injury to Chris Olave
The New Orleans Saints once again find themselves up a creek without a paddle when it comes to the wide receiver position. After getting Michael Thomas back from injury, drafting Chris Olave, and signing Jarvis Landry, the Saints still can't catch a break at the position with all three of those guys dealing with injuries at the moment.
Something interesting that dropped earlier this week was that Odell Beckham Jr. would potentially be visiting the Saints to see if he'd be a fit for them when he's able to return from injury in November.
A few days later, Marcus Spears spoke with Beckham and the five teams the former LSU standout is most interested in joining were revealed. Sadly, the Saints didn't make the cut. That was before Olave's injury and the Saints getting back to relevancy with their recent win, however.
Saints might need Odell Beckham Jr. after all
That article that I linked to above from CBS Sports did mention that OBJ said he wanted to play for a contender and as much as I'd love to say New Orleans is a contender, they're not. The Bills, Chiefs, Packers, Rams, and Ravens give the former Giants, Browns, and Rams receiver a better chance at reaching and winning another Super Bowl than the Saints do.
Still, it's hard to deny just how much the Saints could use OBJ after the most recent injury to Olave where he had to leave the game after scoring a massive touchdown. The Saints went from having three amazing starters at the position to now being in the same position they found themselves in this time last year.
Hey, maybe Odell Beckham Jr. should stay away since there appears to be a curse on this team when it comes to the wide receiver position.
