The New Orleans Saints are fresh off back-to-back losses, moving their 2024 record to 2-2. With a lot of football left to be played, the Saints have shown some good, giving fans hope, and some bad, giving fans reason to be concerned.

Regardless of how the rest of the season plays out, the 2025 Draft is going to roll around, and that’s something everyone can get excited about. The Saints are currently in possession of their first-round pick. If the season ended today, New Orleans’ 2-2 record would land them somewhere in the mid-to-late teens. While not a high pick, the Saints could still find elite prospects in that range.

If the draft was today, one prospect New Orleans should be interested in selecting is wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.

Saints should be interested in 2025 Draft prospect Tetairoa McMillan

Tetairoa McMillan is a wide receiver from the University of Arizona, and he’s arguably the best receiver in the 2025 Draft class. In his collegiate career, 29 games, he has 158 receptions for 2,607 yards and 22 touchdowns, and he’s still adding to those numbers.

At 6-foot-5, 212 pounds, he has the size, as well as the speed, athleticism, and strength, to thrive at the next level. He has proven himself as a big-play receiver that can make tough catches, and he’s been a reliable target for his team.

He’d be the perfect addition to a Saints offense that desperately needs a competent WR3. New Orleans has two talented young receivers in Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, but in today’s NFL, the more the merrier. New Orleans is already showing they need a No. 3 guy, and that problem could be addressed in the draft.

McMillan has the tools to be an immediate contributor as the No. 3, but also the potential to evolve into a true No. 1 in the league. As the Saints move forward into a new era, having a player like him would be great for future success.
