The New Orleans Saints are 3-5 after eight weeks of play and somehow they're still very much in the running to win the NFC South due to how poorly the rest of the division has played.

The Falcons lead the division with a 4-4 record. Right behind the dirty birds are the Buccaneers and Saints with their 3-5 records and the Panthers sit in last two their 2-6 record. Carolina could have led the division had they taken down Atlanta last week due to owning the tiebreakers over both New Orleans and Tampa Bay. Wild.

We're nearing the halfway point of the regular season so why don't we take a look at the Saints' next five games and predict how they could turn out for the black and gold?

Week 9 vs Baltimore Ravens (Monday Night Football)

It's good that the Saints are at home for this one because they're going to need all of the help they can get. The Ravens are 5-3 and look to be one of the best teams in the AFC. Lamar Jackson is the team's entire identity on offense and for good reason, as he's playing at an MVP level.

While the Ravens are a good team, their defense has tended to blow big leads. Baltimore could have just one loss on their resumé but they coughed up big leads to the Dolphins and Bills earlier in the season and those losses are going to come back and bite them.

If the Saints can't find a way to limit Jackson, he's going to carve them up much in the way that both Marcus Mariota and Kyler Murray carved them up.

Prediction: Saints lose 34-21
