The New Orleans Saints, along with the rest of the NFL world, were locked in at the 2024 NFL Souting Combine, learning a lot about numerous prospects. Some players skyrocketed their draft stock with outstanding performances, while others hurt their stock with sub-par performances.

With the Combine officially over, the focus will shift to pro days. Before that happens, let’s look at five players who improved their draft stock and should be rising up the board for the Saints after their amazing combine performances.

Xavier Worthy

Xavier Worthy undoubtedly had the most noteworthy combine. He set the all-time 40-yard dash record at 4.21 seconds. Everyone knew going into the combine that Worthy had great speed; no one expected him to break the record. Because of this, his draft stock has risen dramatically. He is now being looked at as a late-first-round pick to an early second-round pick.

Worthy measured in smaller than many thought, standing at 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds. This was overshadowed by his speed but is still worth being noted. The 40-yard dash wasn’t the only thing that Worthy did well. He was fourth among all wide receivers in the vertical jump (41 inches) and fifth among wide receivers at the broad jump (10’11). He is an extremely agile and elusive wide receiver who would fit into most NFL offenses. After his performance at the Combine Xavier Worthy is quickly rising on many NFL team’s draft boards.
