The New Orleans Saints look like they may have an all-pro player in their starting lineup, with his breakout season coming at the perfect time for the Saints.

Coming into the this season, there were a lot of eyes on the preseason and training camp competition between Alontae Taylor and Paulson Adebo to see who would see more time for the New Orleans Saints, at least as far as the outside and slot spots were concerned. It even looked like Taylor had the inside track to start on the outside with Adebo in the slot, but when the Saints parted ways with Bradley Roby, Adebo jumped to the outside with Taylor manning the slot.

It's safe to say it's paid off, because the way Adebo has been playing for the Saints as of late, he looks like one of the best cornerbacks in the game, full stop.

Simply put, Adebo's game against the Chicago Bears was an absolute sight to behold, and is in the running for one of the best defensive performances of the entire 2023 NFL season. Against the Bears, Adebo was involved in three of the five forced turnovers for the Saints. He intercepted two passes, and even recovered a fumble that he himself forced. For good measure, he added on seven total tackles (five solo and two assisted) and two other passes defended.

As a result, Adebo now has four interceptions thus far in the season, which ties him for second in the entire league with DaRon Bland of the Dallas Cowboys. Only safety Geno Stone from the Baltimore Ravens has more with six, so Adebo and Bland lead all cornerbacks.

With all that being said, a strong case can certainly be made that Paulson Adebo has been playing at an all-pro level so far this season. With the way the season has been up and down for the New Orleans Saints, such a nod would certainly be something that both parties could at the very least hang their hat on, and it would certainly be well deserved for the third-year player.
