Saints will have stud wide receiver return for Thursday night
The New Orleans Saints will get reinforcements for their game Thursday, and it couldn't come at a better time for the Saints.
The offense of the New Orleans Saints has been the subject of a decent amount of scorn thus far in the 2023 season, a season that has been quite the roller coaster. Fortunately, the Saints offense, and Derek Carr in particular, are starting to actually get into something resembling a rhythm.
Just in the nick of time, there are some reinforcements on the way for the Saints offense. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Chris Olave is set to be active for the Saints primetime matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.
This return could not come at a better time, as this game against the Rams on Thursday Night Football is the Saints biggest game of the season to this point. The NFC South crown is still within grasp, but so is an NFC Wild Card spot, something that seemed like a pipedream at points.
There's added emphasis on this game considering the team that currently owns the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC is none other than these 7-7 Rams. 7-7 of course being the same exact record of the Saints. So yeah, this game is a big one.
The return of Chris Olave to the fold for the New Orleans Saints is both a significant and welcomed one, to put it lightly. It comes at a perfect time given the opponent at timing of the game, not to mention the trajectory that the offense appears to be on. If they can get this win, in front of a national audience no less, with their stud wide receiver returning, and all of a sudden they control their own destiny when it comes to a playoff spot.
