4. Ben Johnson, Offensive Coordinator, Detroit Lions

We have already highlighted Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as a phenomenal candidate to take over for Allen in a recent piece, thus we have to bring him up again. It's also fitting that the Lions just knocked out the Saints on Sunday behind a solid game from quarterback Jared Goff and 142 yards on the ground.

Johnson was ready for a head coaching position last offseason and was even given the opportunity to interview in Carolina, but he turned down the opportunity because he truly believed in what Dan Campbell was building in Detroit. So far, that decision is working out well for Johnson, and even further building his candidacy.

The Lions rank as the league's no. 2 offense in yards per game, no. 4 in both rushing and passing, and no. 6 in scoring. That's about as well-rounded as you can get, and Johnson is a big reason why. Detroit hasn't been this proficient on offense in quite some time, and they're no longer a joke. This is a legitimate NFC contender, and they better enjoy Johnson while he's still around.
