Saints Rumors: 5 replacements for Dennis Allen

2. Bobby Slowik, Offensive Coordinator, Houston Texans
Speaking of passing leaders, this week, we have a new no. 1 and it is none other than rookie sensation C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans. The first-round gunslinger has been absolutely brilliant. He has truly made that offense into one of the best there is, and is doing a phenomenal job lifting his teammates.
Stroud has been throwing to guys like fellow rookie Tank Dell, youngster Nico Collins and veterans Noah Brown and Robert Woods. He has transformed a room featuring a bunch of no. 2 and no. 3 options into a room that can do some serious damage.
Now, a lot of that has to do with Stroud's ability to make his teammates better. But, offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has also done a marvelous job with the scheme there in Houston. It takes a bright mind to develop a rookie quarterback at this rate, and Slowik is certainly that type.
It should be no surprise that Stroud is able to throw his targets open as well as see many of his weapons getting open. Slowik comes from the Kyle Shanahan tree, and that is definitely a tree you want to hire from. Slowik is in his first year as a coordinator, but he could take the jump.
