4 Saints players in danger of losing a roster spot in final preseason game
By Ryan Heckman
3. Keith Kirkwood, WR
Wide receiver is a bit muddy. Of course, the Saints are going to keep Michael Thomas, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. But, beyond those three, there are positions up for grabs and, no matter which outlet you look at right now, there are countless different combinations of projections at the position.
Some outlets have Lynn Bowden making it solely as a return specialist. Personally, I do not believe he earned a spot. He's been exactly what he's been since entering the league, and hasn't changed.
A.T. Perry should have a spot, too, honestly. As a draft pick, it would be hard to see the team cutting him and he does have a lot of potential. There shouldn't be any reason why he hasn't earned a spot.
Keith Kirkwood, though, is someone that outlets seem split on. He's been a favorite of the coaches and is a likable guy. He's also on his second stint with the team after beginning his career in New Orleans back in 2018. His speed and hands make him an intriguing guy to keep around, and if he plays well in this last game, he could cement his roster spot.
