It's no shock that there will be a rookie quarterback in the NFC South for the New Orleans Saints to deal with. The shock is WHO Saints fans may root against.

Betting and sports have become more intertwined than ever before, to the point where Vegas odds now shift our focus to what may happen in the offseason. The NFL Draft is obviously no exception. After the Carolina Panthers traded for the number one overall pick, the reality sank in for New Orleans Saints fans that they would potentially be dealing with a young quarterback for the next decade. Many Saints fans figured that would be either Bryce Young or CJ Stroud, but because of Vegas, many believe that may not be the case.

Out of nowhere, the odds of Will Levis being drafted by the Panthers at number one went from +4000 to +400, with rumors of the Kentucky QB telling those close to him that he's Carolina-bound potentially playing a part.

Obviously we don't know anything until these rookies take the field, but Saints fans should be thrilled by this.

Levis is seen as more of a project than the more perceived "polished" prospects in Young and Stroud, due in large part to his inconsistent play in college. Granted, he did the best with what he had around him, but that isn't the best recipe for success in the NFL, especially when the Panthers are currently devoid of a plethora of offensive talent.

With the 2023 NFL Draft just around the corner, the rumor mill is hotter than ever before, and we've reached the boiling point. Everything should be taken with a grain of salt, but New Orleans Saints fans should be liking how everything is smelling so far heading into Thursday night for sure.
