4 New Orleans Saints on the hot seat for Week 15
By Ryan Heckman
4. Derek Carr, QB
Going back to this potentially being a trap game for the Saints, let's talk about it more. The Giants have won three in a row. They are no slouches, regardless of the teams they've beaten.
New York's pass defense has been better as of late, and with Derek Carr not necessarily being 100 percent healthy, he's going to have to will this one out and play the best football of his season thus far.
The Giants recently allowed only 218 passing yards to a previously-on-fire Jordan Love. The week prior, the held Mac Jones to 89 passing yards. And the week prior to that, Sam Howell finished with 256 yards passing but New York picked him off three times.
The moral of the story is, Carr has to be on his game. He has to be accurate with the football. He has to be decisive and take some chances down field. Against the Panthers last week, Carr finished with a season-low 4.6 yards per pass attempt. It doesn't matter if Carolina is a sneaky pass defense. That is inexcusable.
It is time to open things up. It's time for Carr to show why he was brought to New Orleans. This last month of the season, it's put up or shut up for Carr.
