New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers: Three bold predictions
Number Three: Chris Olave breakout game, 150+ yards, one touchdown
We're due for a big time breakout game from Saints' wide receiver Chris Olave, and we could see it this week.
Olave has been the primary target for quarterback Derek Carr under center this season, looking his way 21 times already. Olave is getting targets as the number one receiver, despite Michael Thomas, Taysom Hill, Juwan Johnson, and Rasheed Shaheed being healthy and on the roster. Surely Carr would safely say that things have just worked better when Olave gets the ball this season, so why not continue to feed him?
Thomas will likely still demand the attention of Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Packers, which should allow Olave to take advantage of the mismatch. Carr will look to Olave early and often on Sunday and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a game of 10+ receptions, 150+ yards, and at least one touchdown.
Olave has never had more than 147 yards in a game and has only had four 100 yard receiving games in his career, but expect a breakout here in week three.
It's finally almost game time, and we're ever closer to finding out just how bold these New Orleans Saints predictions truly are. Stay tuned.
