Game-by-game predictions for 2023 New Orleans Saints schedule
By Randy Gurzi
Week 15: New York Giants at New Orleans Saints
The NFC East was one of the surprise teams last season with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys all making it to the playoffs. The Giants were defeated by the Eagles, who nearly won it all.
Brian Daboll proved to be a great head coach and he's put more talent around Daniel Jones this season. Jones is still far from an elite quarterback but he can get the job done, especially with his legs. That becomes the difference here as Jones' ability to take off and run allows him and the Giants to steal a win on the road with a late touchdown drive.
Final Score: Giants 26, Saints 21
Week 16: New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams (Thursday Night Football)
It's going to be easy to discount the Los Angeles Rams this year based on the issues they had in 2022. But doing so would be a huge mistake.
Their primary concern last year was the injury to Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles mortgaged their future to land Stafford and when he went down, they were far from the same team. In all honesty, even when he was there to start the year, he clearly wasn't healthy.
Now back to full health — or at least close to it — Stafford should be able to get the Rams back into the mix. They prove this to New Orleans with a one-point win in L.A.
Final Score: Rams 24, Saints 23
