Week 8: New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts

Moving on from Frank Reich seemed like a knee-jerk reaction — so the Colts went back to the Eagles' coaching staff and brought in Shane Steichen who helped develop Jalen Hurts. Now he's going to work with Anthony Richardson and even added Gardner Minshew to start if Richardson isn't ready right away.

Whoever it is under center, the Colts might be a year or two away from being contenders. Their defense won't have answers for the Saints' passing attack as Derek Carr has a field day in a lopsided win.

Final Score: Saints 41, Colts 20

Week 9: Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints

This offseason went pretty well for the Chicago Bears as they were able to land a haul in exchange for the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. In addition to extra picks, they added D.J. Moore from Carolina. Moore, Chase Claypool, Darnell Mooney, and rookie Tyler Scott will give Justin Fields a vastly improved passing attack and Roschon Johnson could prove to be a mid-round steal at running back.

Defensively, they could be much better as well with Zacch Pickens, Gervon Dexter, Noah Sewell, and Tyrique Stevenson joining as rookies. The only issue for Chicago will be its youth. Look for them to fight hard and while they'll win many more games in 2023 than they did in 2022, they'll also lose some close ones when facing a veteran quarterback — such as Derek Carr.

Final Score: Saints 26, Bears 24
