Four Saints players that are already turning heads during OTAs
Saints second head-turner: Quarterback Derek Carr
This one may not exactly fall "under the radar", but Derek Carr is showing why the Saints paid him the big bucks to be what they hope is the next franchise quarterback in their post-Drew Brees world.
Carr has been putting in consistent solid performances day in and day out so far in OTAs, and his consistency is starting to ease a lot of minds, but not excitement. Carr has also been showing the natural leadership he exuded while quarterbacking the Raiders, for a tenure that spanned more than one city.
In addition to the aforementioned connection being formed with Shaheed, Carr has also been finding he has even more chemistry with Chris Olave, and it has the potential to be absolutely lethal. The two already appear to be on the same page, and one can't help but wonder if the juice that came from the controversial decision to bring in Jon Gruden in a consultant rule is proving to be worth the squeeze.
While it's obviously still VERY early, this should be music to the ears of Saints fans. How could it not be?
Now while many Saints fans may have expected (and prayed) that Carr would wind up on a list like this, let's look at someone that not many had on their radar...
