2. Olumuyiwa Fashanu, T, Penn State

As previously mentioned, tackle is a necessity for the Saints this offseason. If they want to build an unstoppable offense then they need to address it. If the Saints are able to land Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu, then the tackle position may be set for years to come.

Fashanu would be the perfect player for the Saints to get if they wanted to build an amazing offense. He contains great size for a tackle at 6-foot-6 and 319 pounds. Fashanu hasn’t allowed a single sack in his three years at Penn State. He has great athleticism which allows him to stay in front of opposing pass rushers.

Olu Fashanu is as NFL-ready as an offensive tackle can be coming out of college. Even with him being very young as he is only 21 years old. Fashanu could instantly come in and be a starting offensive tackle for the Saints.

Penn State runs a good amount of that wide zone offense. Fashanu is experienced in that system and has already shown that he has the necessary skill set to succeed. He has a very high motor and plays extremely quick which allows him to get to his assignment.

If the Saints want to build an unstoppable offense then they need to fill some holes in the trenches. Olumuyiwa Fashanu would be a perfect player for the Saints to draft to do just that.
