After their 13-0 shutout loss to the 49ers, the New Orleans Saints still find themselves somehow in the running to win the NFC South and host a playoff game. Yes, even at 4-8. Yes, even with this beat-up roster. That's how bad the division has been in 2022.

With all of that said, let's take a look at how the division looks according to Vegas.

FanDuel has the Buccaneers, who the Saints face this upcoming Monday night, as the favorites to win the NFC South at -310. The Bucs are 5-6 and had a chance to get back over .500 this past week but lost in overtime to the Browns.

The Falcons are second in the NFC South odds at +600. The Saints are third at +850 and the Panthers are bringing up the rear at +1500.

Saints are third in NFC South odds

It's not surprising to see the Bucs as the frontrunners. For one, they have the best record at 5-6 and they're the most talented team in the division, they just haven't put it together much this year and they're also dealing with a slew of injuries.

If the Saints beat the Bucs on Monday, they'll still be mathematically alive to win the NFC South. If they lose, Tampa will have swept them and it'll be nearly impossible for NOLA to get back to the top of the division.

It's interesting to see the Falcons with the second-best odds but I guess someone has to be in that spot, so why not Atlanta? The Saints beat them back in Week 1 but a lot has changed since then and honestly, I would definitely say the Falcons are the better team between the two. We'll see when they meet again in Week 15.
