With the NFL Schedule officially released, the New Orleans Saints now know when they will face their 2024 opponents. On paper, the Saints have a fairly easy schedule. In fact, New Orleans is tied with the Atlanta Falcons for the easiest schedule in the league. However, that doesn’t mean the Saints won’t have challenges, particularly at the opposing quarterback position.

The team will face off against some talented quarterbacks that could give cause problems. Here are the five best quarterbacks the Saints will face in 2024 and how to beat them.

5. Jayden Daniels - Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels has yet to play a snap in the NFL. Even with this, he is one that the Saints need to watch out for in this upcoming season. The Saints have struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks; even those who may not be viewed as mobile, such as Tyson Bagent. The Saints have taken steps to address this with the signing of athletic players such as Chase Young and Willie Gay. However, it is still a real possibility that mobile quarterbacks are still an area that the Saints will struggle in.

Jayden Daniels thrives while on the run. He excels at escaping the pocket then improvising on the run. This allows his legs to be a game-changer. If the Saints are going to stop Daniels then they must contain him. It is crucial that they won’t allow Daniels to run and escape the pocket.

In college, Jayden Daniels has struggled with putting velocity on the ball. That is something that the Saints can take advantage of when they face him. If the defensive line, particularly the interior, can get pressure on Daniels and then contain him, the Saints have a good chance to be able to shut him down. They need the rookie quarterback to make rookie mistakes.
