Best NFL prop bets for Saints vs. Falcons in Week 12 (How to bet Chris Olave)
By Jovan Alford
The Atlanta Falcons will welcome the New Orleans Saints to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday in a crucial NFC South divisional matchup. The Saints are currently in first place in the division, but the Falcons are only sitting one game behind in second place.
I found two Saints props that bettors should consider for their Week 12 card and a Falcons prop that might fall under the radar.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Saints vs. Falcons in Week 12
- Chris Olave OVER 5.5 receptions (-130)
- Rashid Shaheed longest reception OVER 18.5 yards (-115)
- Tyler Allgeier OVER 8.5 rushing attempts (-125)
Chris Olave OVER 5.5 receptions (-130)
With Michael Thomas on injured reserve, Saints QB Derek Carr will be peppering Olave and star running back Alvin Kamara with a lot of targets in the passing game. Olave has been a catches machine for the Saints, recording 56 receptions on 94 targets.
The second-year wide receiver has gone OVER 5.5 receptions in seven out of 10 games and averaged 5.7 receptions per game on the road. Olave should go over his receptions prop on Sunday against a Falcons’ defense ranked 24th in DVOA-WR1, per ftnfantasy.com.
Rashid Shaheed longest reception OVER 18.5 receiving yards (-115)
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Carr try to stretch the field on Sunday with Olave and Rasheed Shaheed. Shaheed doesn’t receive many targets in a game, but with his ability to take the top off the defense, he only needs 1 or 2 catches to make a big play.
Shaheed has had a catch longer than 18.5 yards in five out of his last 10 games. The Falcons are ranked 30th in pass-DVOA, per ftnfantasy.com, so it’s worth taking a shot on the speedy wide receiver, especially if Atlanta is worried about Olave.
Tyler Allgeier OVER 8.5 rushing attempts (-125)
Even though the Falcons drafted standout running back Bijan Robinson in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, head coach Arthur Smith still wants to utilize Allgeier in the running game. The second-year running back has gone OVER 8.5 rushing attempts in four out of his last five games.
The Saints’ defense has struggled against the run this season (113.6 yards per game), making this a good spot for Allgeier and Robinson.
