Chris Olave didn't have a gaudy output last week, but he found the end zone, can he get his numbers on track again against the Texans?

The Saints travel to Houston to face a Texans offense that has been on the rise with No. 2 overall pick C.J. Stroud yet to throw an interception in his young career. However, can Olave's former Ohio State teammate struggle against a Saints defense that has been strong against the pass this season.

I'll tell you about how I'm playing the player prop market below, but you should check out Iain MacMillian's "Road to 272" for betting analysis on every NFL game.

Best Prop Bets for Saints vs. Texans

  • Chris Olave OVER 4.5 Receptions
  • C.J. Stroud to throw an interception
  • Dameon Pierce UNDER 50.5 Rushing Yards

Chris Olave OVER 4.5 rceptions

While Olave has been quiet over the last two weeks, he has combined for three catches, the target share is still there. He has five and six targets over the last two games and that's on the heels of posting double digit totals in the prior three.

I'm going to buy low on this Saints offense and for Olave to play a role. The target share is there for the second year Ohio State product and Houston is 19th in dropback success rate defensively, we can cash this total with ease.

C.J. Stroud to throw an interception

Stroud has set a rookie record for not throwing an interception, but he will be facing a stiff Saints defense that has been elite all season long, third in EPA/Play and tied for second with seven interceptions on the year. At + money, I'm going to trust the Saints defense to force a mistake out of the rookie.

Dameon Pierce UNDER 50.5 Rushing Yards

In a similar line of thinking, I'm going to fade the Texans running back Pierce. After rushing for over 60 yards in two straight games, 66 and 81, I think this is the proper spot to sell high.

Pierce is seeing a ton of reps, over 20 carries in each of his past two games, but this New Orleans defense is third in rushing success rate, living in the opposing backfield. I believe that Houston is going to have to abandon the run this week against this defensive line and more pressure will fall on Stroud to make passes (and potentially an interception).
